FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Trader Joe's, Where Less Is More: How Trader Joe's Profits from Offering Limited Product Selection - https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/secrets-the-moneylab/201009/trader-joes-where-less-is-more

We've only had a few customers who have requested braille services thus far, so we don't have enough past experience / data to draw upon with regard to requests for color choices. It would be beneficial to post a photo of a finished Rand head on the website and show customers another finished braille "non-textured" face plate option.

Thanks Mike, yes - Black braille has been noted for the Rand order.

May not be pertinent to this discussion, but I discussed braille color with Jerome at Rand and he wants us to use Black.

Whoops, sorry not sure how I got the idea that red or blue was involved. Still, it would be helpful to know how much demand we have for the various different colors and if we want to limit what we offer. Thanks

No red or blue raster requests to my knowledge thus far. Steel, black, and white should be options, as an opinion.

2nd attempt to responding as the "permission" had to be re-set. We have 5 raster color choices at present and the need for a "designer's call" (decision) to contact the customer and change the raster color after artwork has been received. This may be necessary in order to achieve the best appearance for a finished product, since we offer full color UV printing as a option for a braille inserted face plate and not just the MirrorFlex finish as with the Rand face plate.

Hello team, following up on the topic of different colored Braille - There are efficiency tradeoffs in offering too many options. How often do we get requests for red or blue Braille? Would we lose any sales if we only offered black and clear? I would like to recommend that if we don't have any demand for different colored Braille options, that we limit what we offer in order to be efficient in our back end operations. Would it be OK to offer black and clear only as standard product?
